Stuart is putting together a label compilation and very kindly invited me to submit a track, but with work being manic of late I could not get my head around the downbeat number I wanted to give him, so I gave him this track instead.

Drums is a four-on-the-floor, 127bpm house track, which lays patterns over patterns and weighs in at a very restrained (for me) 6'31''.

The track was originally composed in that profoundly creative state that I find myself in when I really should be doing something else, hence the Procrastination Mix. I find it profoundly ironic that, for once, my procrastination paid off by saving my bacon when I didn't have time to get the downbeat track finished!

I'm not sure if the track will end up on the AR compilation, given that Stuart thought he was getting a deep downbeat number and I gave him a bouncy house track.. but if it does I'll definitely post an update (and a link) here.

Regardless of whether Drums is used or not, it was good to dust off the keyboard and get a proper track (rather than a promo mix) out, for a change!
